WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE. DO YOU WANT TO BE A PART OF THE NEXT GENERATION?
Welcome. Relax. Don’t be nervous! Never sung before? No problem! Never done improv before? Even better! Jawbies come from all different backgrounds and experience levels; some of us did theater or music before college while others of us did Science Olympiad or the Math Team. Members of JAW are from all different backgrounds and at Yale, we participate in a wide variety of activities from athletics and professional acting to education and advocacy in politics.
Each fall, we hold auditions for our new tap class. In the weeks leading up to auditions, we have a few shows and workshops where you can check us out. Our workshops are a super low-stress and non-judgmental environment to learn and practice the fundamentals of improv. So whether you’re a seasoned improviser or a total newbie, join us for a workshop! Still don’t really know what improv is? See a show! And if four years of laughing with fun-loving friends and traveling all over the country checks any of your college boxes, come to one of our audition slots!

Workshops
Workshops are a fun and exciting way to try your hand at improv in a low-stress environment. You'll learn the basic tenets of scene work and play some classic improv games. If you plan on auditioning, workshops are a great way to get a sense of what the audition process is like. We hold workshops the week before auditions so make sure to stay updated through the website or out Instagram on where and when they’ll take place.
